About People, Place and Profit

The concept of sustainability is not a new thing at all – nor does it belong to any one person or group. Sustainability is a good theory for improving Quality of Life for Today & Tomorrow, and as renowned social psychologist Kurt Lewin once stated, “There is nothing so practical as a good theory.” Sustainability is simply a good lens through which people can see the world. It is the embodiment of what the Founders of the United States meant when they wrote “secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity.”

We believe that in order to secure the “Blessings of Liberty” to our Posterity we need to bring people together around good ideas focused on People, Place and Profit, our take on Sustainability. This triple bottom line, as some call it, is key to improving our Quality of Life for Today & Tomorrow.
The annual Sustainability Summit, our cornerstone effort, reaches amazing success because we showcase people-focused, place-making, and profitable practices for business owners and community leaders in Southwest Florida through engaging discussions. This amazing event brings people together around brilliant and innovative ideas about how we can make our region better together. We sum up this “sustainability formula” for regional success in three simple words: “People, Place, & Profit.”
