Bonita Springs Area YP SummitThe Bonita Springs Area Young Professionals will be shaping futures at their inaugural “In Your Future” Summit, presented by The News-Press Media Group, on September 11th located at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort and Spa – 5001 Coconut Road, Bonita Springs, FL 34134.

The program, consisting of two panel discussions and a keynote speaker, will take place from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. and will focus on personal and professional leadership development coupled with a focus on improving the future of the community.

Keynote speaker for the Summit is Stephen Bienko who is best known as a motivational leadership speaker, writer, current President of 42 Holdings, and the largest owner of the College Hunks Hauling Junk and Moving brand. Previously in his career Bienko served in sports marketing for 2008 Olympic Gold Medalist Bryan Clay, as the Senior Vice President of SequentialT, as former Director of Marketing of Kennedy Funding, and earlier as “Top Trainee” for the New Jersey State Police Department.

The Leadership & Career Development Panel will feature:

  • Todd Cofer – Senior Marketing Manager for Pearson & Co-Founder of Bookend Technology
  • Glorita “Glo” Cuiffi – Chief Operating Officer for Scott Fischer Enterprises
  • Valerie McCausland – Managing Vice President for Gartner
  • Samantha Scott, APR – President of Pushing the Envelope, Inc.

The Community Relations Panel will feature:

  • Wendy Fullerton Powell – News Director for The News-Press
  • Sarah Owen – President & CEO of Southwest Florida Community Foundation
  • Jesse Panuccio – Executive Director of Florida Department of Economic Opportunity
  • Matt Visaggio, MPA – Founder of Visaggio & Co. and Adjunct Professor, FSW School of Business and Technology

“The first-ever YP Summit is about bringing together future leaders in Southwest Florida to discuss the challenges and obstacles they face today. It is about offering them a roadmap to better themselves, their companies, and the community in which they live,” said Bonita Springs Area Young Professionals Chair Joe Nugent. “By highlighting this key demographic, and giving them an opportunity to learn, grow and connect, it will ensure that the health of Southwest Florida is very strong for years to come.”

The Bonita Springs Area Young Professionals Steering Committee expects over 250 attendees who will come together to talk about becoming a better leader, manager, community builder and collaborator.

The event will unwind with two hours of social networking, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., with this portion of the evening coined ‘Schmoozapalooza’ which has been made possible by Rosier Insurance. This gives the Young Professionals the opportunity to build their professional networks with fellow career-oriented individuals and continue the conversations started during the program.
