Joe Nugent graduated from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio with a degree in Communications and emphasis in Organizational Communications. Upon graduating, he went to work in the hotel industry and has held numerous positions such as Food and Beverage Manager, General Manager, Catering Manager, Regional Sales Director and Director of Sales & Marketing. He has worked for some of the largest hotel companies in the world and prior to being named to his current position, he was a Regional Sales Director for InterContinental Hotels Group, where he worked with over 30 hotels in 4 states. Joe currently oversees the sales and catering team of the Holiday Inn Fort Myers Airport @ Town Center, which has 169 rooms and over 7,000 sq. ft. of banquet and meeting space. Most recently, Joe launched Inspector Gadget Homes, a home inspection and home watch company.
Joe is active in the community serving as the Chair for the Bonita Springs Chamber of Commerce Area Young Professionals, as well as sitting on the Board of Directors for that Chamber. He also volunteers with the Youth Leadership Council for the Make-a-Wish Foundation. Most recently, he was named as one of the finalists for the inaugural Young Professional of the Year Award presented by The News Press.
